The clock is ticking on the end of the Kevin Colbert era in Pittsburgh. And with that, the Steelers have added several more names to their prospective GM list.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, “The Steelers have added to their GM Interview list with three former NFL GMs: Jerry Reese (Giants), Rick Spielman (Vikings) [and] Doug Whaley (Bills).”

Noting, “One of the widest ranging GM searches we’ve seen in a long time.”
Kevin Colbert is set to retire after the 2022 NFL Draft. And while the Steelers have interviewed a great deal of candidates, it’s still not clear exactly what direction the franchise will go in.
For the first time in nearly two decades, Pittsburgh will know football without Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers have since signed Mitchell Trubisky, who serves as two-year bridge and is an upgrade over backup Mason Rudolph.

Quietly, the Steelers have had a very solid offseason; adding much-needed help on the offensive line, at the QB position and landing Jaguars linebacker Myles Jack at a very good price.
Seemingly the last piece to putting together the 2022 iteration of the Pittsburgh Steelers is putting their GM in place.
